Autopsy Case study

Step 1:  Open "Autopsy Tool" and Select "New Case".


Step 2: "New case information" page will open.

Step 3: Enter "Case Name" and "Base Directory" for The File to    Store.

Step 4:  Click on "next" button.


Step 5: "Option information page" will open.

Step 6: Fill "Case Number" and "examiner Name, Phone, Email, Notes fields".

Step 7: Click on "Finish" button.

Step 8: Add data source page will open.

Step 9: On "select type of data sources to add" Select "Disk Image Or VM File Always".

Step 10: Click on "Next" button.


Step 11:  On "select data source" Select "Path" of Image which You Store.

Step 12:  Click on "Next" button.


Step 13: On "configure ingest Modules" Select run ingest modules.

Step 14:  Click on "Next" button.



Step 15: Now you can see All the "Deleted File" And All Folder.


Step 16: Select "Generate Report" action.

Step 17: "Generate report" dialog box will open.

Step 18: Select "report modules".

Step 19:  Fill "header & footer" if you want to see it in report.

Step 20: Click on "Next" button.




Step 21:"Report generation" process page will open.

Step 22:  Click on "link" to view report.


Step 23:  You can see the "Autopsy Forensic Report".
